Based in Amadeus’ office in Stockholm, Johan Nordqvist is the Vice President of Airlines in the Nordics region and he also holds the position of Managing Director of Amadeus Scandinavia.
Appointed in March 2020, Johan is responsible for managing the relationships with Amadeus’ airline partners in the region, securing market share and long-term profitability for Amadeus in these markets.
Before this role, Johan gained extensive experience having worked for Amadeus in the Asia Pacific region since 2004 where he has held various commercial roles both on the travel agency and airline sides. Before relocating to Sweden, in his role as Vice President, APAC Partner Markets, he was responsible for managing the relationships with Amadeus’ distribution partners in Asia Pacific, more specifically in the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, South Korea and Mongolia.
Prior to joining Amadeus, Johan started his career in the military after which he held various management positions within travel, retail and e-Commerce based in Sweden, UK and in the US.
A Swedish native, Johan holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and an MBA in Management.
