Chief Commercial Officer, Hotel Asset Management
Joe Pettigrew is a Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer in Hotel Asset Management at Starwood Capital Group. Mr. Pettigrew is primarily responsible for maximizing profit for all hotels and brands owned by the firm globally by partnering with the management’s executive team to develop and execute commercial strategies across all market segments and acquisition channels.
Previous to his current role, Mr. Pettigrew served as a Chief Commercial Officer at Yotel, a London-based hotel brand and Starwood Capital investment, that specializes in the smart use of space and technology-inspired guest experience, where he pioneered the industry’s first hourly revenue management at its airport locations.
Prior to joining Starwood Capital in 2017, Mr. Pettigrew served as Head of E-commerce and Distribution at The Principal Hotel Company, Starwood Capital’s largest ever hospitality real estate investment and operating platform in the UK. Before that, he served as a VP of Operations at Shorerock Group.
Mr. Pettigrew is a Certified Revenue Management Executive from HSMAI and a member of the advisory board of several hospitality technology companies, such as Oracle and Sabre. He studied Hotel Management at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
