Monika has 25 years of experience in the hotel industry in both large corporate hotel chains and small family owned hotels. Her mantra is that everything revolves around PEOPLE. Monika recently opened Soho House Stockholm and is author of the book “Put Your People First and the rest will follow” which Swedish translation will be published early 2024 “PRIORITERA DINA MEDARBETARE så kommer gäster, chefer och ägare bli nöjda”.
Monika started her career in 1999 at Hilton Hotels. Until 2012, when she left this chain, her travels led through London, Bucharest, Athens, Vienna and Copenhagen to the Hilton Prague Old Town. After that, she managed three hotels of a private chain in Czechia which she successfully sold off in 2016. She has been Regional Director for Vienna House Czechia & Slovakia. Throughout her career, she has proven that happy employees work better and always strives to cultivate a work environment which allows people to grow and be themselves. As Monika describes it: “Less management, more support & guidance.”
